The Beginning
The Hutto tradition of Drag Racing first began with Jimmie Hutto Sr. back in the 1960s. The elder Hutto competed in Super Stock Eliminator and set the stage for what is now three generations of racers.
90s to Early 2000:
Jimmie Hutto Jr. carried the family tradition of Drag Racing with a start in various street cars. Eventually, Hutto made the move to Stock Eliminator and brought the competitiveness of Hutto Racing to an entirely new level. From a Station Wagon, to the Camaro he won an IHRA World Championship in, Jimmie has driven virtually all there is to drive in Stock Eliminator. He won his first NHRA National Event in 1998 and has become a feared competitor across the nation.
Today
Today Jimmie Hutto Jr. and his son Justin Hutto compete in Stock and Competition Eliminator. The Hutto family lives in Texas and typically compete in NHRA events around the division four and five area.
