After just a couple of test runs, Justin made his debut in the Hutto Racing ’69 Corvette at the NHRA LODRS event in Baytown, TX. Justin made things a bit interesting during qualifying by having to go back and forth to the University of Houston to makeup a test he missed earlier in the week. With God’s favor he got a slot to take his test, but as a consequence, the 19 year old missed out on the first two qualifying runs. Despite this setback, he still managed to qualify strongly in the Stock Eliminator class- 17th position out of 67 cars. In the first round of eliminations, Justin was a bit to quick on the starting line, turning the red light on by just .007 seconds. Jimmie also made a solid appearance in Super Stock, though he fell to Slate Cummings by .001 seconds in the 2nd round.

Both Justin and Jimmie got some much needed seat time and comfort and their racecars, and will apply what they’ve learned to their next outing. The next event for Team Hutto is the NHRA LODRS event in Belle Rose, LA.
